Please do not be offended by this post. This is for the education of all, Nazarene or not, this is what Nazarenes believe.

As we who call ourselves “Nazarenes” reflect on today’s ruling by the Supreme Court of the United States let us commit to:
1. Continue to teach the sanctity of all life from womb to tomb: the unborn, the expectant mother, the aged, the infirm, the disabled, the immigrant, the incarcerated, and any who would find themselves being dehumanized and devalued by other image-bearers.
2. Continue to support responsible opposition to abortion in keeping with our covenant together found within The Manual recognizing that we are not merely “anti-abortion” we are “pro-life”. This means initiating and supporting programs that provide care and support services for mothers and children, engaging in foster care and adoption, and working to ensure that health care and child care is available and affordable for those in need. It means providing crisis and ongoing counseling, care and support to mothers, families and those who support them.
3. Remember that today’s action is a deeply personal and triggering action for many people within our congregations. May our posture be one of love, grace, forgiveness, redemption and hope for all whose lives have been touched by abortion, adoption and decisions related to the termination of pregnancies related to the medical needs of the mother.
It would do all of us who call ourselves “Nazarenes” good to revisit and reflect on our Christian Covenant today and in the days ahead as we seek to embody the way of Christ through our life together and in our communities.

Due to post length limit I have linked to the manual directly as Rev. Schaeffer copied into his post on Facebook today. Please read so that you may properly understand our position.

Here are my two cents (The opinion of James Beine). Mileage may vary due to the rising cost of everything, information being one of them.

Truth is Truth, Lies are Lies, Killing is Killing, Life is Life, Hate is Hate, and Love is Love. There is no easy answer except this. Foundational justification of anything that is known to be wrong is plu·ral·ism. And plu·ral·ism is hy·poc·ri·sy. du·al·ism perhaps.. you cannot have it both ways. So, we are all God’s creation, be it from the Murder of Abel to all lives lost at the hand of another human. Sin is Sin. Confess with your mouth, Believe in your heart, and repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.

Have a blessed day!
